Obviously, I would have loved to have compared this to the Founders Edition from NVIDIA, but they didn’t send us one, so feel free to rant about that in the comments section or on Twitter, not that I think they’d listen anyway, but with the same clock speed, it really comes down to the cooler, and if you think it’s worth the extra $100, and more importantly, because of how quickly all cards have gone out of stock, what you can get hold of at the time.

Gigabyte's card stands out with lower temperatures than other cards, but noise levels are a bit higher, the card also comes with less bling, which can be a good thing. Also, in markets where the FE is not available, Gigabyte's card could be an interesting option, or maybe opt for one of the non-OC models—you won't miss the performance difference, and saving $50-$100 will always help.
