Das XPG Invader X BTF soll vor allem die Nutzer überzeugen, die ihre Hardware bestmöglich präsentieren wollen. Dafür bietet es sowohl einen Panoramablick durch zwei Glasflächen als auch die Unterstützung für Mainboards mit rückseitigen Anschlüssen. Zudem sind gleich fünf A-RGB-Lüfter vormontiert.

The XPG Invader X is available in two versions, one without fans and one fully equipped with five, leaving just enough room for your AIO in the ceiling. The bare variant at $100 seems priced alright, but it is too bad that XPG has chosen some aspects that feel like unnecessary cost-cutting aspects one should not expect from a case in this segment. If you chose the unit with fans at a $70 premium, you will also get a PCIe riser cable. Thus, this variant represents great value, if vertical GPU mounting was something you were planning on doing anyway.

The XPG Invader X is a welcome evolution of the already fantastic Invader series of PC cases. I’ve been a big fan of them for many years now, and they continue to deliver the quality, features and aesthetics that PC gamers are certain to love! Of course, no case is perfect, but this case does get a lot of things right. The price is a bit on the high side, but if you’re getting all the fans and the riser cable included, well, it’s about the same price as adding all those things separately anyway. The front I/O panel being located on the bottom of the panel is fine if you’re placing this case on your desk. However, if you’re putting it on the floor, it’s a pain in the butt to reach your connectors and power buttons. That being said, I doubt many are buying a display case like this to just tuck it under their desk out of sight. Hardware support is impressive, with room for extremely large graphics cards in horizontal and vertical configurations, and I love the swappable back plate for use with vertical GPU mounting. Large air coolers or big radiators are both welcome here too, giving you plenty of choice for how to build your high-end gaming PC. The aesthetics are superb, helped largely by the extensive cable routing options. There’s a PSU shroud, lots of cable routing space behind the motherboard, Velcro straps, cable tie loops, and vast amounts of routing holes that support cable pass-through but also the latest hidden connector motherboard designs, ensuring that even first time builders can achieve something that looks professional.
