tomshardware.com: ASRock B550 PG Riptide Motherboard Review: Well-Rounded and Affordable (translate)Testbewertung:Originalwertung: 4/5Testbewertung: 80
The $159.99 ASRock B550 Riptide includes dual M.2 sockets, 10 USB ports on the rearIO, Killer-based 2.5 GbE and an appearance that fits in with most build themes. If you’re looking for an affordable board for recent AMD CPUs, the Riptide is a great start.

techpowerup.com: ASRock B550 PG Riptide Review (translate)
The ASRock B550 PG Riptide has a number of faults that put it into a category that is hard to recommend for every user type. It sits between being a great choice for an entry-level computer build and just having too many shortcomings hidden behind the all to common asterisk pinned at the end of every sentence. These asterisks of course also refer to a footnote describing limits of sorts.

guru3d.com: Asrock B550 PG RIPTIDE review A high-tidal flow AM4 motherboard? (translate)
With the Asrock B550 PG Riptide, you get a single PCIe 4.0 for graphics (x16), two full-length PCIe 3.0 (one x4, the other x1), one PCIe 3.0, two M.2 slots, and the option to overclock the processor and graphics cards. The vast majority of consumers should be satisfied with this level of service. For this user base, the X570 is not worth the price premium over the X550. We should also point out that B450 motherboards were substantially less expensive; on the other hand, the vast majority of B550 products, including those in the VRM field, are extremely good. It should be able to handle even the 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X/5900X processors (although we wouldn't recommend it for the 16-core 3950X/5950X processors, for obvious reasons). The price is approximately 160 USD, which is quite reasonable for a B-series chipset of this caliber. On the back panel, you'll find a glorious 2.5 Gbps LAN jack, a total of 7 fan headers are onboard (which is quite excellent), and a plethora of USB ports (there are ten of them). In contrast, there's an ALC897 audio codec, no integrated I/O shield, and WiFi (as well as an antenna connection point! ). Additionally, the USB 3.2 Gen2x2 connector is not available, therefore you will not be able to achieve the greatest feasible performance. We would prefer to see something at the very least from the ALC 11xx series. To summarize, we are unable to grant anything higher than the "Approved" designation, but this is a very decent motherboard for the money.

hexus.net: Review: ASRock B550 PG Riptide (translate)
ASRock adds yet another B550 chipset-based board to its ever-growing arsenal. Phantom Gaming Riptide's aim is to marry gamer looks with specification nearer the upper echelons of what users can expect. In isolation the board is robust enough. Decent power delivery, three full-length slots, 2.5Gb Ethernet, sensible layout and a modicum of RGB are all good points on this £133 offering. Yet we firmly believe that spending £15 more makes a lot of sense. Such an additional outlay brings forth boards with integrated WiFi, better audio, an integrated I/O section, and improved cooling. B550 PG Riptide therefore needs to be around the £120 mark to stand out. If ASRock and its retail partners can achieve that, the board goes from average to good.

funkykit.com: ASRock B550 TAICHI – RAZER EDITION Motherboard Review (translate)
All said and done, I’m extremely impressed with the performance of the ASRock B550 TAICHI – RAZER EDITION … it competes extremely well against its bigger sibling, the X570 Taichi Razer Edition, plus it has all the same features too, but for $100 cheaper. If you’re an enthusiast gamer who loves Razer but really don’t like the active cooling fan on the X570 chipset, then there’s no reason not to consider the ASRock B550 TAICHI – RAZER EDITION.

guru3d.com: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming-ITX/ax review (translate)
I certainly do like my Mini ITX gear, as I always find it charming to see how much high-performance gear the motherboard manufacturers can cram into such little real estate. And yeah, with PCIe 4.0 on Graphics and M2 slots and overclocking ability dare I say it who needs X570? That said, pricing is the trivial point here as ASRock oppressed this motherboard with bonus features, but 200 USD / 209 EUR is a lot of money with anything based on the B series chipset. That being said, I am not saddened by this product. Dual M2 slots, WIFI6, and 2.5 GigE are some of the premium features. Then there's the single M2 shield, and of course, the sheer performance as B550 on that processor and feature level runs as fast as the more expensive X570 boards. The 17x17cm board also allows for four SATA3 drivers. So yeah, your bases are covers, (and all you base are belong to us). Performance among X570 and B550 is simply put the same with minor differences here and there. You can argue the lack of PCIe slots on Mini ITX of course, but yeah for every build there is a solution. We cannot complain about this product other then we had a few issues with the latest BIOSes posting with XMP memory, the newest Beta fixed that. We also noticed instability due to the WIFI driver, once we installed the latest revision, that problem was gone with the wifi wind. Overall, yeah, why not? .. Recommended.

thinkcomputers.org: ASRock B550 Taichi Motherboard Review (translate)Testbewertung:Originalwertung: 9/10Testbewertung: 90
The ASRock B550 Taichi is in a really weird spot as it is priced exactly the same as ASRock’s own X570 Taichi. As I said in the introduction of this review B550 motherboards are supposed to be less expensive, but here we are with a board that is the same price as its X570 counter-part. We can however say that ASRock makes a good argument for their pricing of the B550 Taichi.

tomshardware.com: ASRock B550 Taichi Review: Blurring the lines between X570 and B550 (translate)Testbewertung:Originalwertung: 4/5Testbewertung: 80
The ASRock B550 Taichi -- and other B550 boards priced close to $300 -- are in a peculiar space. While the B550 Taichi looks the part and is, by most accounts, a premium motherboard, it still isn’t X570. But if you are willing to shell out $300 for a B550 motherboard, the Taichi has that high-end look, performs well, and brings enough features to stand with its peers.

techpowerup.com: ASRock B550 Taichi Review (translate)
The ASRock B550 Taichi is a worthy successor to the X570 Taichi in many ways: Aesthetics and features are similar, with some improvements to boot. With two extra Vcore phases, the B550 Taichi has an even more powerful VRM than its older X570 brother. While it gives up an M.2 slot and a third Gen4 PCIe slot, it also gives up the hated X570 chipset fan.

guru3d.com: ASRock B550 Steel Legend review (translate)
With the B550 chipset, you get a single PCIe 4.0 for graphics, one M.2 slot, and overclocking ability. This should be enough for the majority of consumers. Dare we say it?, X570 is not worth the price premium for this user base. We also need to emphasize that B450 motherboards were significantly cheaper but, on the other hand, most B550 products are priced okay, also in the VRM department a lot has changed and that shows on the B550 series. The Asrock B550 Steel Legend is no different, as it should handle even the 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X. The price is about 180 USD, so quite a lot for a B-series chipset, but you get 2.5 GigE, 14-phase power stages, good audio performance, 6 SATA ports, reinforced PCIe slots, and all the essentials (and even more) are here. This is a good motherboard that’s not flashy (but you still get two regular and two addressable RGB headers). It’s worth buying.

funkykit.com: ASRock B550 PG Velocita Motherboard Review (translate)
The B550 PG Velocita from ASRock is a top pick for gamers who wants good performance at a reasonable price. It offers the best of everything within its price range, and many of the high-end features you’ll find on more expensive X570 motherboards. ASRock as always, delivered a feature-rich product that meets gamers’ expectations, and I feel whoever decides on this motherboard, will be truly satisfied.
