The ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming ITX/TB3 is a worthy successor to the Phantom Gaming ITX line. With an integrated I/O shield, the now classic Phantom Gaming aesthetic, and good connectivity, the ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming ITX/TB3 is a compact power house.

The Z490 Aqua is ASRock's second iteration of the Aqua generation, this time for Intel. It is hard to get around that price - the daunting $1100 MSRP is a little hard to stomach unless you are a user/OEM with a purpose. But the Z490 Aqua, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful and elegantly styled motherboards I've ever seen.

The ASRock Z490 AQUA is the kind of board you put on posters or desktop backgrounds: clean, striking, and with excellent attention to detail. With every possible feature except the kitchen sink, the ASRock Z490 AQUA is every bit a flagship motherboard. The RGB led implementation is the best I have seen, and that isn't even counting the OLED screen over the rear I/O.

The ASRock Z490 Taichi is a worthy successor in the long-running Taichi family. Featuring full coverage M.2 heatsinks, an integrated rear I/O shield, a great RGB LED implementation, and a great neutral aesthetic, the ASRock Z490 Taichi has the looks. With a plethora of additional storage controllers, it also has the connectivity I have come to expect from ASRock. All that remains is the performance.

Catering the gamers among us, the ASRock Z490 PG Velocita is visually pleasing with multiple areas of customizable RGB zones, with red and grey accents on a primarily black background. It includes a solid feature set with dual PCIe 3.0 x4/SATA M.2 slots and plenty of support for SATA devices with eight ports available in total. Only six of these include support for RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 support, while the other two are powered by an ASMedia SATA controller, which makes them useful for non-storage devices such as optical disc drives. Included on the rear panel is a pair of USB 3.2 G2 ports, including one Type-C and one Type-A, with four USB 3.2 G1 Type-A ports. Users can add more ports with a USB 3.2 G1 Type-C front panel header, two USB 3.2 G1 Type-A headers for four points, and two USB 2.0 headers, which can be used for RGB controllers, as well as providing an extra four ports.
