Zwar lässt sich der hinzukommende Speicher nicht als VRAM nutzen, technisch spannend und praktisch ist die Asus Geforce RTX Dual SSD OC Edition dennoch, wie PCGH im Test beweist.

Das hier getestet Modell von Asus ist eines der kleineren Modelle, wenn wir uns einmal auf die Länge der Grafikkarte beschränken. Damit passt die Asus Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti OC in fast alle PC-Gehäuse hinein. Bei der MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Gaming X Trio wird man aufgrund der enormen Länge schon eher an Grenzen stoßen. Damit büßt Asus allerdings auch deutlich an Kühlfläche ein, was sich im Test mit deutlich hörbaren Lüftern bemerkbar machte.

The card also is very tweakable adding an extra 10% performance seen from reference performance. Considering its price tag, the Founders Edition is the more cost-effective option, as the TUF is expected to bear a price premium of at least $75, which accumulated doesn't make much sense in the mainstream domain. In conclusion, the product's quality isn't disputed. Instead, the issue lies in the overall price range, not justifying a mainstream product's additional $75 premium. But looking at this this product as to what it is, it is premium in its design.

I’m sure that many of you are aware of the heated debate on how the 8GB VRAM and 128-bit will greatly affect the performance since NVIDIA launched the RTX 4060 series GPUs. I do have my suspicion about this after seeing the benchmark results, but until I can get my hands on the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB to verify this, I’ll leave that aside for now. Though I’d still love to see NVIDIA giving us more VRAM, at least 12 GB instead of 8 GB because I can really see games that can really eat up a lot of VRAM when the texture quality goes up.
