Heute testen wir auf OCinside.de das 32GB Dual Channel Speicherkit mit 2x 16GB DDR5-5600 CL46 Modulen. Bei diesem Kit steht Effizienz und Kompatibilität im Vordergrund, denn die Geschwindigkeit und die Betriebsspannung entsprechen der JEDEC Spezifikation. Es handelt sich hierbei also um kein High-Performance Overclocking Speicherkit. Wie viel schneller dieses DDR5-5600 Speicherkit gegenüber einem Standard Kit mit DDR5-4800 ist, verraten wir in unserem folgenden Testbericht.

Both of the new Crucial kits as well as the original 4800 MT/s kit that I compared them with are unique in the ram market compared to a lot of the kits you would see. All three are clocked at speeds that fall in the range of AMD and Intel’s memory clock speeds for their current CPUs. In other words, where most kits you might run into are considered overclocked kits, these are stock clock speeds. That also means that going in you don’t have to worry about their reliability which can get dicey once you start getting into higher clock speeds, dual rank memory, and when you start filling all four memory slots. The XMP and Expo profiles on both kits give you an easier to use clock speed for those situations where you need to use all four slots and then the higher clock speed for the main dual channel slots. In short, these aren’t fancy or overclocked, they are your bread and butter DDR5 kits but the new speed options help expand past the initial 4800 MT/s from the initial launch of DDR5. Keeping things simple also applies to the styling with these not having heatspreaders at all. But to be honest the all blacked out PCB looks good to me. This isn’t an old green PCB which would then not match anything. Even in a PC with a side panel, unless you want fancy RGB memory these kits would still fit the bill just fine.

Crucial is playing it safe again with the 5600MHz SKU, by using relaxed timings, but also no less than four pre-loaded profiles, in order to be perfectly compatible with a large range of configurations (entry-level, mainstream or high-end). The modules do barely get warm at the default operating voltage, hence no need for extra cooling and remain about the same if increasing the voltage to about 1.25V, which allows running it at 6000MHz, allowing for extra free performance.

Crucial’s DDR5-5200 and DDR5-5600 desktop memory kits showed reliable performance in our testing, with DDR5-5200 showing notable performance benefits over DDR5-4800 and likewise DDR5-5600 over DDR5-5200. The 5,600MHz kit was actually less expensive at review time, so we see no reason to buy the 5,200MHz kit unless the price goes up. Most users won’t notice a difference between 5,200MHz and 5,600MHz, so the 5,600MHz kit isn’t worth much extra.

Without sporting heatsinks or flashy RGB LEDs, the Crucial 32GB 4800MHz C40 DDR5 memory kit offers good performance and can be surely considered in case you are going for a brand-new Intel Alder Lake build. The memory quantity is enough for a lot of applications such as video encoding, gaming, rendering, running multiple VMs at once and can even squeeze more performance out of it by increasing the voltage to 1.25 and upping the clock to 5400MHz! Crucial plays it safe with this kit, going straight to the default JEDEC of 4800MHz, to be compatible with all setups. Ballistix line is now gone, but we surely hope to see even higher-clocked modules from Crucial, even if they won’t be gaming themed. The 32GB kit, as tested can be currently found online for about 250 Euros, so around the price of a mainstream DDR5 motherboard for Intel’s newest generation of processors, Alder Lake.

Crucial liefert mit seinen neu veröffentlichten DDR5 UDIMMs eine preisgünstige Alternative für alle gängigen Mainboards. Sowohl das DDR5-5200 CL42, als auch das DDR5-5600 CL46 Kit liegen bei knapp 160 €, doch lassen sich gerade bei den DDR5-5600 UDIMMs derzeit echte Schnäppchen ergattern.

Today on OCinside.de we are testing the 32GB Dual Channel memory kit with 2x 16GB DDR5-5600 CL46 modules. This kit is focused on efficiency and compatibility, because the speed and the operating voltage comply with the JEDEC specification. So this is not a high-performance overclocking memory kit. We will reveal how much faster this DDR5-5600 memory kit is compared to a standard kit with DDR5-4800 in our following review.

Crucial liefert mit dem 16 GB DDR5-4800 (CT16G48C40U5) UDIMM Kit ein gutes und solides Dual-Channel Kit, welches darüber hinaus einiges Übertaktungspotenzial nach oben hat. Klein und unscheinbar, aber dennoch mit ordentlich Luft nach oben. Mit 700 MHz mehr auf der Takt-Schraube und dem schlichten Design ohne viel Schnickschnack konnte uns das 16 GB Crucial Kit in jeglicher Form überzeugen.

Crucial one more time proved it offers high-quality RAM at a reasonable price. This is the main advantage of the tested 64GB DDR5-4800 memory kit. At the price of around $359, we can buy 64GB of fast RAM for the latest Intel platform (and soon also AMD). It is about as much or even less than the price of DDR4. What’s more, Crucial RAM is verified on pretty much every popular motherboard brand on the market, so we can be sure it will work.

Besonders für Workstation User, die nie genug RAM haben können, sind die neuen 32 Gbit ICs von Micron potentiell sehr interessant. 128 GB RAM hatte man bisher mit 24 Gbit ICs nur mit mehr als 2 RAM-Modulen erreichen können, was auf der AM5 Plattform einen deutlichen Einbruch im RAM-Takt von DDR5-5600 auf DDR5-3600 zur Folge hat. Wer also mit 96 GB nicht zufrieden ist, aber auch nicht auf RAM-Takt am 1:1 Maximum der CPU-Verzichten möchte, hat nun mit diesen neuen, größeren ICs und Modulen die Lösung.

We review a Crucial 32GB 5200 MHz CL42 DDR5 memory kit that roots back from Micron. This set is 5200 Mhz CL42, and that means it's a value kit that offers 95% of the performance you need, yet at a price of 125~150 EUR for 32GB. We'll test on Raptor-Lake, Intels Gen 13th series processors.

The new 5200MHz memory modules from Crucial are a great improvement in terms of overclocking versus their 4800MHz counterparts we have tested before, being able to reach 5800MHz without too much of a hassle, just by increasing the stock voltage to 1.25 and keeping the timings as the manufacturer intended. For compatibility sakes, we are also getting a 4800MHz XMP profile, while AMD users would be happy to know that these feature an EXPO profile as well!
