Marathon (Download) (PC)

With spellbinding combat and high-concept maps, Marathon is far more than a cool aesthetic draped over the bones of an extraction shooter.

In the latest release, Bungie showed a stylish concept and a very avant-garde artistic shell. But as a game, Marathon still needs to polish the balance. You can either get used to its problems and learn to live within this ecosystem, or just put it aside

Bungie's slick extraction shooter is great at creating tense battles, incredible highs, and painful lows, with a future that's full of promise.

Unforgiving but rarely unfair, that risk/reward gameplay loop will prove endlessly enjoyable to some, though casual FPS fans who want to see guaranteed progression in exchange for the time they put in will find themselves well out of their comfort zone.
