The MSI RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Trio is the fifth RTX 4070 Ti card we've reviewed here at OC3D Towers and it only emphasises how consistent the yields Nvidia are managing to get are. We've gone on record as finding the launch of the RTX 4070 Ti to be a confusing one, priced where you would expect the x080 cards to be, but coming out the box with the Titanium extension which is normally reserved for the refinement cards released a few months later. Yet the performance makes most of the 3000 series look slow. It's more expensive than we'd expect a x070 card to be, yet if you ignore that and just look at the performance figures then it's a bargain. As we say, confusing. However, one area that isn't strange is the quality of the MSI Tri Frozr cooler found on their Gaming X Trio models. It's been around for a few generations now and has never been anything than fantastic. There is simplicity to the design which is very attractive. Three high quality fans spinning quietly, massive heatsink with a high-density of fins, and plenty of room for the hot air to escape. On paper it's not much different than a lot of cooling arrangements, and yet there is an element of je ne sais quoi which places it above the majority of similarly specced cards. Best of all, because MSI have the Suprim X sitting at the top of their range, it's also not the most expensive model in their range. When you mix great performance and cooling with relatively - for a famous brand name - affordable pricing you're on to a winning combination. We've mentioned a lot lately about how manufacturers are moving away from wholly white colouring on their nominally white designs, MSI have blended too much silver into their design to help break up the solid white effect and its made the Gaming X Trio more of a silver card than a white one. A tricky balance to get right and one MSI have sadly failed on in our eyes. Aesthetics though can be a very personal topic, it says white on the box though when in reality we feel that it should have said.... Silver. Performance is very much on a par with all of the RTX 4070 Ti cards, which is to say fantastic value for money, so like all of them the MSI Gaming X Trio stands and falls on those elements that MSI can control. If you're in the market for a white card then MSI RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Trio lis mainly silver but performs well, is cool and quiet and doesn't break the bank.

The RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Trio is one of the aesthetically better-looking RTX 4070 Ti around but the cooling performance is still a bit lacking I’d say. While it can still get the job done without any issues, the overall load temperature is noticeably higher if compared to the cooling solutions from the competitors, which can easily go under the 70°C mark even during synthetic benchmarks.

MSI has stepped up to the plate with their Gaming X TRIO GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. It is factory-tweaked (slightly) but looks great. It comes with whisper-quiet cooling, and is quite impressive in all respects.

Starting well under $1,000, the price point is much lower than the 4080 and 4090 while still offering incredible performance (beating out the 3090 Ti in most tests). 4th-gen Tensor cores and Optical Glow help its impressive performance, 3rd-gen Ray Tracing cores, DLSS 3, 8th-gen AV1 encoders, and everything the new Ada Lovelace architecture offers.

MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Suprim X is the company's top-tier custom-design graphics card based on NVIDIA's latest salvo at the sub-$1000 performance graphics segment, with the new RTX 4070 Ti "Ada" that we're reviewing today. The Suprim X brand of graphics cards from MSI arose from a need within the company to match NVIDIA Founders Edition in aesthetics, while offering the best factory-overclock and OC headroom available in the market; while also differentiating itself from the company's Gaming X brand (something Gaming Z probably had less success doing). The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is an interesting proposition, letting you play maxed out gaming at 1440p, or 4K Ultra HD gaming with reasonably good details, where you can take advantage of new features introduced with the RTX 40-series, such as DLSS 3 frame-generation, to dial up eye-candy even further.

We turn towards MSI who submitted the mighty SuprimX edition of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. It;s has incredibly sweet and silent cooling, looks fantastic and is a notch factory tweaked to run faster also.

In addition to the Asus card that Nvidia sent over for the RTX 4070 Ti launch, MSI also sent over their flagship RTX 4070 Ti Suprim X. Their Suprim lineup always goes way over the top on cooling performance and the X means that this is also an overclocked card. So today I’m going to check out the MSI RTX 4070 Ti Suprim X to see if MSI is still keeping the Suprim styling as a clean opulent model which focuses on better build quality and performance. Without a Founders Edition for the new RTX 4070 Ti that leaves a big opening for anyone like me who may not want the crazy “gamer” styling that most cards have and the styling and build quality that the Founders Editon cards have. Will this be the best option when shopping for an RTX 4070 Ti? I’m going to check out what sets it apart and then put it through our test suite to find out!

If there is one thing that has become clear from our time with a number of different models of the new Ada Lovelace GPU equipped cards, it is how incredibly consistent their performance is. Admittedly we've not reviewed a base model card, but instead the higher end of the available ranges, but you couldn't squeeze a christmas card in the gap between the four different RTX 4070 Tis in our graphs. What that means for the end user is that you can stick to a brand you're loyal to, or buy whichever is the most affordable, without fear that your experience will be compromised in any way.
