OnePlus 7 Pro

I went looking for reasons not to give the OnePlus 7 Pro full marks, but honestly I've struggled to find much to fault. The display, camera, and core specs are essentially all best-in-class - or close enough to count - while the few shortcuts (wireless charging, an IP rating) are easily explained away by a price point that still undercuts the closest comparable rivals by some way.

Offering flagship features for midrange money, the 7 Pro is a serious threat in the Android market

The OnePlus 7 Pro is trying to stand out in a very competitive market and while its pop-up selfie camera might be cool, image quality doesn't wow us quite as much as the technology. The OnePlus 6 impressed us with its price and photo taking capabilities but, unfortunately, we're not quite as impressed with the OnePlus 7 Pro's performance. Plus, it costs almost as much as some really great flagships and is actually more expensive than the Honor 20 Pro and is on-par with the Huawei P30 which shoots better photos. However, the screen is a great size, if a bit tall for some hands, and as already mentioned, the pop-up camera is a fun feature that grabs your attention.

OnePlus has flipped the script with its first 2019 phone, the 7 Pro, challenging the high end with a true flagship-quality handset.

OnePlus reversed most of its mistakes with the 6T and brought out a surprisingly ambitious OnePlus 7 Pro, packing several rare components that barely anyone else has procured. The result is a beast of a device that delivers fantastic mobile cinematic plus gaming experience, and one that’s in a well-designed package.

The OnePlus 7 Pro's camera, performance and price make it the go-to premium Android phone of 2019.

The OnePlus 7 Pro is an impressive flagship with several features that make it stand out from its contemporaries.
