Seasonic Focus GX ATX 3.0

Seasonic doesn’t need any introductions, their power supply units have been top notch for pretty much as far back as I can remember and well, so has their reputation. So, I had no doubt in my mind that the FOCUS GX-850 would live up to my expectations and yes, it did. Both rail stability and build quality are very good and as for noise levels although quite high when the Hong Hua fan nears 2000RPM again I seriously doubt someone would get an 850W model to continuously draw close to 800W (still it is what it is). Availability in both black and white colors may not be a game changer (not many have white systems after all) but it’s always good to have as many colors as possible (one day I hope other colors like red make it to the mix).

The SeaSonic Focus GX-850 emerges as a robust ATX 3.0-compliant competitor in the crowded market of power supply units. Its build quality is exemplary, with an elegant exterior, custom embossed chassis decorations, and the convenience of fully modular cables. The internal components do not disappoint either, boasting high-grade Japanese capacitors throughout. The self-manufacture by SeaSonic ensures a meticulously designed unit, showcasing a redesigned Focus series platform aimed at ATX 3.0 compliance. The compact and clean design further accentuates its aesthetic and functional appeal while ensuring compatibility with all ATX-compliant cases.

The latest iteration of their popular Focus GX series, the 1000W Gold, continues this legacy, compliant with the ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 standards, and boasting a robust 80 PLUS Gold efficiency rating. This high-capacity unit is engineered to meet the power demands of next-generation graphics cards and high-end processors, providing you with the power and future proofing that modern gaming systems demand.
