guru3d.com: Seasonic Prime Titanium TX-1300 (1300W PSU) review (translate)

Today we’re putting the new Seasonic Prime Titanium TX-1300 power supply on our test bench. The company is mainly known for its PSUs (like Connect or Focus SGX), but we also already checked their two chassis (Q704 and Q503). Still, the high-end offer in the power supply range is the Prime series. The series debuted in 2016, but the TX-1300 and TX-1600 were released in July ’22. Both are not ATX 3.0 compatible (this will come in mid-December with a Vertex PSU family). Still, one of the new things introduced in the Prime Titanium TX-1300/TX-1600 (but also the 80 Plus Platinum compatible PX-1300/PX-1600 models) is the PCI Express® 5.0 compatible 12+4-pin power cable. Although the TX-1300 is a new PSU featuring two 12VHPWR connectors, it still isn’t ATX 3.0 compatible. You get a 16-pin capable of providing up to 600 W (12+4). So what does it mean exactly? Geforce RTX 30xx/40xx Founders Edition will work with Prime Titanium TX-1300 PCIe Gen5 connectors simply because they do not need more than 450W. The other versions of RTX 4090 – can get more than that, which should work too.

Knapp 500 Euro Straßenpreis sind selbst für ein High-End Netzteil kein Schnäppchen, doch Hersteller Seasonic liefert dafür auch ordentlich was ab.

This latest Prime TX-1600 ATX 3.0 Titanium power supply continues the long-running streak of top quality designs from Seasonic. The unit is heavy when you lift it out of the box, and at 210mm long it is not going to fit into every case design on the market. Internally it is densely packed with components, and Seasonic have not cut any corners either with the choice of components.

Today we take a look at a new power supply from Seasonic – a flagship Titanium unit firmly targeting the high end enthusiast sector. This fully modular 1600W PSU is priced at £479.99/€469.90/$419.99 and are the first Seasonic power supplies to ship with cables equipped with new 16-pin 600W Gen5 12VHPWR connectors. They are compliant with the ATX 2.53 standard and for a limited time Seasonic are also including a free GaN charger.

hwbusters.com: Seasonic Prime TX-1600 Titanium PSU Review (translate)

Seasonic’s flagship Prime Titanium unit can meet the mighty Corsair AX1600i eye-to-eye in terms of overall performance with 115V input. If they tune the PFC converter for higher PF with 230V, among some other changes, this will be feasible with 230V input, too. The TX-1600 shows that analog controllers still have life in them and that they can offer similar performance to digital implementations. That said, I would like to see Seasonic following the totem-pole PFC route, which is the only way as it seems for a Cybemetics Diamond-rated efficiency PSU. I am also expecting an updated version of this platform, able to meet the ATX 3.0 spec’s requirements fully and not only up to 1000W. Nobody can be sure whether the new GPUs will have high power spikes, requiring the PSU to be able to go up to 200% of its max-rated capacity. Still, considering that you invest in a high-end PSU, having in mind that you will keep it for at least 5-6 years, it is nice to be as future-proof as possible. On the other hand, Seasonic built this PSU with the ATX 2.53 spec in mind and not ATX 3.0, so the compatibility with the latter, even up to 1000W, is an added extra for this product. The 450W that the TX-1600 can deliver through a 12VHPWR will be probably enough to cover your needs with all RTX4000 cards but the Ti ones, for which nobody has a clue yet.

Today we have a new power supply to grace our test labs – the new, revised Seasonic Prime TX650 Titanium rated power supply. This new TX650 is part of an internal company rebrand as they consolidate their range. This ‘OneSeasonic’ revamp is a calculated move to repackage and rename their supplies with an easier to follow overview and tier separation.

nikktech.com: Seasonic PRIME TX-1000 Power Supply Unit Review (translate)

Just like all PRIME models before it the TX-1000 does a great job both in regards to rail stability and noise levels. Build quality is of course one of the strongest selling points of most Seasonic models and well it’s a valid one here as well. The lack of ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 compliance is the sole drawback of this model but thanks to the addition of an 12VHPWR adapter I think most people will find that they can do without it. That being said getting your hands on one of the newer ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 compliant PRIME models is the best choice but since Seasonic has yet to release an 1KW model this one could be a better overall option for some people.
