Mit Geforce RTX 3080 Ti SG (1-Click OC) hat KFA2 eine wirklich Leistungsstarke zusätzlich ab Werk übertaktete Grafikkarte auf den Markt gebracht, die ihres Gleichen sucht. Die zusätzliche 1- Click Übertaktungsfunktion mittels Software lässt sich nicht nur einfach bedienen, sondern gibt auch noch die Möglichkeit das letzte bisschen Leistung herauszukitzeln. Sie bietet neben ihrem schicken Design auch eine Top-Verarbeitung.

Mit der GeForce RTX 3080 Ti kann NVIDIA ein Modell aufbieten, welches in der Leistung dem bisherigen Spitzenmodell, der GeForce RTX 3090, recht nahe kommt, aber eben "nur" die Hälfte des Speichers bietet. Mit den Varianten von Gigabyte und Inno3D haben wir uns schon einige Einstiegsmodelle angeschaut, von MSI kam ein High-End-Modell hinzu. Jetzt werden wir in diesem Doppeltest die EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming und KFA2 GeForce RTX 3080 Ti SG unter die Lupe nehmen.

Granted, the KFA2 GS edition GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is not a product that is aiming itself in the 6th gear of performance. It offers close to reference level performance, sometimes a tad faster, sometimes a frame or so slower. It does offer that reference level performance (which for an RX 3080 Ti is terrific), good looks, very decent energy consumption, and a few extras. The temps are fine, the acoustics okay. But in the end, all that design did not bring in a lot of additional performance; the card is running with a close to 350W power limiter yet manages to increase overall framerates by 1 maybe two percent. It did tweak well manually, though, but more on that later. I'll keep saying this, but it is a bizarre time to write reviews on graphics cards with the shortages and insane price hikes related to that. Really what the market needs are affordable, high-performing graphics cards that sit well under the 500 USD marker. The 3080 Ti does fall into a very premium niche and likely will be hard to get. The good news is that the new NVIDIA SKUs are mostly hash-rate limited on the AIB side, preventing cryptocurrency miners from dominating sales. The reality, however, is also that NVIDIA can only fabricate only a certain number of GPUs, and they'll still need to make the call on how much allocation ends up at gamers and how much is intended for other markets. We hope NVIDIA will make wise decisions because if the trend continues, the PC gaming market will die off as they need to realize what software houses will invest in PC gaming if that market is on a sharp decline?
