Mountain Makalu 67 schwarz, USB

The Makalu 67 is a lightweight wired gaming mouse with RGB lighting and the new PixArt PAW 3370 sensor. After using only ultra-light mice for over a year now, I don’t get along so well with mice weighing more than 90 grams anymore. And when I heard about the Mountain Makalu 67 I was very curious very quickly. Because the company Mountain is an absolute newcomer in the world of peripherals, next to the brand new Makalu 67 gaming mouse there is also a gaming keyboard in the starting blocks. This keyboard was shown for the first time on Kickstarter, where it had a pretty successful campaign. Both these products will be available by the end of this year. The Makalu will be avalable for around 60 Euros, if interrested more information about Pre-Orders and release date can be found here.

For 59.99 USD/59.99 EUR, you get a higher-end, 19 K DPI gaming mouse that is aimed at players who want comfort and functionality over lighting effects. There is some RGB here (the zone around the scroll wheel with 8 individually addressable LEDs), which you can easily adjust, but this is not the selling point for sure. The build quality and ergonomics of the Mountain Makalu 67 are great. The performance is silky smooth. What you get is a complete and very agile gaming mouse. That’s a “Recommended” award, as it’s a product that should fit the needs of gamers (but it’s also comfortable for daily use, of course). For your first gaming product, that’s a fantastic job, Mountain.

Mountain is a Germany-based peripherals company founded in 2018. The right-handed ergonomic Makalu 67 is their first gaming mouse and aptly named after the Makalu mountain, which is the fifth-highest mountain in the world. The Makalu 67 comes with the PAW3370, which is PixArt's current flagship sensor for wireless and wired applications alike. The patented "rib cage" design ensures a low weight along with sufficient hull strength. Omron switches rated for 50 million clicks are used for the main buttons. The cable is of the highly flexible paracord-like type that's becoming increasingly popular lately, and the feet are made out of pure PTFE. Lastly, extensive RGB lighting options as well as full software customizability are on board, too.

Ultra-light, incredibly stylish and with silky smooth performance. The Makalu is ticking all the right boxes for those who want a very cool mouse that’s comfortable enough to use in the office all day, but serious enough to game all night too.
